Hey I’m Casey! I’m a registered dietitian (RDN) with a Master’s in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition. I currently work as a dietitian and breastfeeding peer counselor coordinator for a state government. This blog combines two of my biggest loves: travel and food. There are so many aspects of traveling I love including the new cultures and music, seeing incredible architecture and accomplishments of past humans, and all the incredible experiences of nature. But my favorite experience of traveling is trying new food!

The love of traveling was instilled in me at a young age, as we were fortunate to go on family vacations growing up. We did a lot of road trips, and I distinctly remember my first flight when I was 7 when we flew to Washington DC for a trip to the Northeast of the US. We traveled out of the country for the first time when I was in middle school to Mexico. A few trips later and I got to visit China with a group from my high school completely for free. In undergrad I studied abroad in Spain and backpacked around Europe and down to Morocco, and then got paid to go to the 2016 Rio Olympics as I was a nanny for the family of an athlete. I lived in Boston for a few years during grad school and loved how in just a few short hours you could be in a different state. I realize and am so thankful for every travel opportunity I’ve had. Obviously with the world the way it currently is, I haven’t traveled in over a year, but it’s been nice to spend time with family and adjust to my new job. It also gives me plenty of time to finally catch up on the huge backlog of editing photos and posts I want to make.

Years ago this blog started out for friends and family while I studied abroad in Spain, but it was only updated about 3 times in the 6 months I was gone. Since returning, I’ve had every intention of finally getting the blog started and sharing all my posts from my travels. Years later, and I’m finally getting around to it! I’m mixing up all my trips and between each Europe post I’ll be sharing my adventures around the US and other international trips I’ve gotten to travel to.
